unfortunately you should be prepared for either, because that’s what you’ll get. there are a lot of people upset about this because allowing this sort of invasive search is degrading, as well as a slippery slope. Where else will they want to place these types of searches at in the name of safety? Trains? Buses? All federal buildings? It’s letting our civil liberties (i think i used the right term there?) be taken away because of fear. It’s allowing a pretty invasive search on you without a warrant. There’s an internet movement to have as many people as possible deny getting scanned and opt for the pat down because it takes way longer to do and will cause major headaches and delays for airlines. There are already plenty of horror stories about the indignity people have gone through as a result of this. The terrorists are probably having a good laugh over it all.
I don’t mean to scare you or make you nervous about your flight, but there’s some (small bit of) education. San Francisco is great! Have fun :)
I wasn’t concerned about my flight to San Fran. Then I heard about full body pat-downs and I was a little put-off… Figured it would be awkward and probably ineffective, considering the wide array of methods one has for carrying explosives if one is so inclined. [see: body cavities] Whatever. I’ll…
